Albany woman in critical condition after pedestrian crash ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A 53-year-old Albany woman is in critical condition after she was hit by a car near 1389 Washington Avenue on Wednesday around 5:15 p.m. Albany Police say the driver of the car stopped and has been cooperative with the investigation. She was treated on the scene and taken to Albany Medical Center. This crash is currently under investigation. (NEWS10) -- The Town of Colonie, along with emergency medical services (EMS) agencies in Colonie, Guilderland, and Clifton Park, have been awarded a $2.4M federal grant for a safety initiative looking to prevent avoidable crashes and improving post-crash care. Adams County deputies shoot, kill man after shootout, deputy injured Adams County Sheriff’s deputies shot and killed a man after an overnight shootout in which a deputy was injured, the Adams County Sheriff’s Office said in posts on social media.The shooting happened about 10:15 p.m. Wednesday, but the sheriff’s office did not say where the shooting happened.
