Big 12 commissioner Brett Yormark: “We have a plan for expansion”

Published Sat, 22 Feb 2025 04:23:19 GMT

ARLINGTON, Texas – Big 12 Conference commissioner Brett Yormark is impressed with what Colorado has done in the first few months of the Deion Sanders era, but he’s certainly not ready to publicly talk about the Buffaloes in terms of expansion. On Wednesday at AT&T Stadium, the Big 12 kicked off its annual media days with a news conference from Yormark. The Pac-12 still doesn’t have a long-term media rights deal. Rumors and speculation of CU and a few other schools possibly joining the Big 12 are still flying. But, Tuesday was more about Yormark welcoming the four new members to the Big 12 — BYU, Central Florida, Cincinnati and Houston — rather than talking about adding more.“I feel like I’ve been talking about expansion for a year now,” said Yormark, who took over as Big 12 commissioner a year ago. “We have a plan for expansion. I’m not going to really address it today. You can ask me, but I’m not really going to address it.“We do have a plan and hopefully we can execute tha...

That company, which came to be known as Joybees, makes clogs that are similar to those of Crocs, the unabashedly unfashionable Broomfield-based business. As a result, Crocs and Joybees have been locked in a legal tussle for 20 months. It escalated last week, when both sides made fresh accusations in a Denver court.“Joybees now uses Crocs’s trade secrets and proprietary information in the production of every single footwear article it produces for sale,” the latter shoemaker alleged.‘Snuffed out’In October 2021, Crocs sued Joybees and its CEO, Kellen McCarvel, for theft of trade secrets and misappropriation of proprietary information, among ...

By now, anyone who has seen “Weird: The Al Yankovic Story” knows … well … very little about Weird Al’s real story.Sure, there are bits and pieces of truth. For example, Weird Al’s inspiration and mentoring from the legendary radio host Dr. Demento (played by Rainn Wilson) really happened.
